Kisnorbo Set for China
Tuesday, 26th Feb 2013 09:46

On-loan central defender Patrick Kisnorbo is joining Liaoning Whowin in China, according to Australian management sources. Leeds centre-half Kisnorbo moved to Portman Road in January and was due to remain with the Blues until the end of the season.

Calibre Sports Management, who represent various Australian players, tweeted: “Busy day - ex-Socceroo and Leeds United defender Patrick Kisnorbo has joined Liaoning Whowin FC in China.”

The 31-year-old’s apparent impending exit - he is at training at Playford Road this morning - appears to explain manager Mick McCarthy’s change of mind regarding a sixth domestic loanee with Reece Brown having joined from Manchester United yesterday.

Kisnorbo, who played for the U21s in their 4-3 victory over Colchester last night, has made only one senior Blues appearance, the FA Cup tie at Aston Villa in January. His Leeds contract is up at the end of June.

While the UK transfer window is closed, it remains open in China until the end of the month.

I wouldnt blame him- silly sitting around waiting for a Chambers/Smith injury. Did well for us at Villa Park so thanks PK. No complaints about Reece Brown- could be one for the future.

Well hopefully this will be an end to all the whinging about Mick signing Brown on loan. But considering all the negativity on here, I doubt it...

So this explains Reece Brown's signing?

He was in my opinion one of the better performers at Villa Park. His aerial presence was excellent throughout that game.

However we only ever signed him as a backup so i guess this makes sense for him. And also if Brown is coming from United we can expect him to be a very able deputy if needed.

I am however rather gutted that we only really got one chance to sing 'Kisnorbo wooah, Kisnorbo wooah. He came from dirty Leeds, he fulfils our short term needs.' Which is, to me, one of the greatest chants ever created.

Good luck PK.

I'm waiting for the apologies from all of you who jumped in with both feet about the signing of Reece Brown...........................................

Brown is still a waste of a loadn signing. We have Hewitt who can do a job and Sterman can play CB as well. We need a goal scorer

No, we dont need a goal scorer, we need a middle of the park play maker, who pulls all the strings. Yes, its time for Pablo to come back.....

Proves again that Mick knows exactly what he's doing at the club. Positive going forward!

Pablo? Now you are just having a laugh. We need big hearts and effort in the current situation. Not the odd bit of skill coupled with lethargy

At least Pablo had the ability to do the unexpected - would easily of been more consistent if he had better players around him. But his time has gone.

There is only so far 'big hearts and effort' can get you - we just need quality.

Presumably why we signed Reece Brown then. Pablo? Haha!! He wasn't as good as you all made out 10 years ago let alone now!

Oh so Mick does know what he is doing then, unlike what many on here would have you believe! Continues to do the deals before we find out, and as this one proves in a timely fashion. Couldn't understand the Recce signing at the time, looks like a good deal now.

alright, calm down people. i was only jokng about Pablo!

Actually to fair though, he had and probably still has so much more ability and class than any of our current squad. We could still play him, he's only 31.

Anyone know who hs agent is?

Suddenly the Brown transfer makes a lot more sense, and perhaps from Reece's point of view too as he might know he is leaving Man Utd so could want to impress us to earn a deal here, if a transfer in the summer were possible.

Well I hope he leaves on good terms, would hate to see his time here being remebered as 'sweet and sour' (or something like that...) ;-)

algarvefan what did you say about both feet???

Phil call me stupid but how does a 31 year old get to play for the U21s?

CALDERBOY - sure I read something on here some weeks back, that you can field up to 5 over 21's to play in 21's games. I guess logically not many squads will have loads of under 21's so it makes sense to bulk the numbers up a bit with a few reserve/fringe players. I think thats right???

Oh dear. All your points on here either negative or positive are pointless. All the Reece Brown talk is null and void. Haha, well said Wickets
