Mclean Can Leave Hull
Friday, 12th Apr 2013 09:34

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says Town loanee Aaron Mclean can find another club at the end of the season. Mclean, who has made only four starts and four sub appearances, scoring once, since joining the Blues in January, is ineligible for tomorrow’s game between Town and his parent club.

Bruce says that the 29-year-old, who has a year left on his Tigers contract, needs to move on to play regularly: "Aaron needs to go and play games. We sent him out on loan and to be fair, it's not worked out as he would have liked at Ipswich.

"We'll all see what the future has in store this summer but he needs to go and find a home really.

"He was disappointed that he wasn't playing here and I'm sure it'll be the same next season if he's not playing every week. I can't guarantee him that here unfortunately."

I like Mclean as a person, he interacts with the fans a lot and seems popular in the dressing room but i'm afraid i don't think he's a good championship striker anymore. Think he'd be great for someone like Peterborough in League One though and wish him well wherever he goes.

i dont think mick will sign him.
ive seen him play for peterborough and be a constant threat but think he would need a run of 10 or so games to see if he can get back to that form.
still think he is a decent forward

Mclean was a decent option when we signed him, mostly due to a lack of options and he has been a useful alternative when turned to.

Alas, there are better options out there, and i think with more time and (possibly/hopefully) a little more cash available to MM in the summer once we've guaranteed survival, MM will be looking for an upgrade.

Now is the time for McLean to show us what he is made of. To be honest, I thought he looked quite bright when he come in for the latter stages of the Watford defeat.

One of Mick's not so clever ideas this one, combined with letting Scotland leave.

Wasn't a fan of Mclean but appreciate his efforts. Seems popular with the lads and interacts well with fans so credit for that.

Signing him on loan was a mistake.
We should have kept hold of Scotland.

He's League One standard from what I've seen.

The jury is still out. Happy to let MM & TC decide on his future.

Well we aren't signing him. Y did we get rid of Scotland he is 5x the player of McLean. I like McLean as a person he always comes and signs programmes and talks to u. If he was as good a footballer as he he was a nice guy the he would be better that Messi
