Edwards in Quarter-Final Action
Saturday, 20th Jul 2013 09:53

Skipper Carlos Edwards looks set to win his 87th cap overnight when Trinidad and Tobago face Mexico in their CONCACAF Gold Cup quarter-final in Atlanta (ESPN/ESPN HD 433/417 11.30pm).

Edwards’s side have reached the quarter-final stage of the tournament for the first time. Ex-Town loanee Giovani Dos Santos isn’t in the Mexico squad.

The Blues captain will return to Portman Road following Trinidad and Tobago’s exit from the competition.

Carlos has always been a player that I have admired at Town, he always gives 100% in every single game he plays in. So what if he doesn't make the team every game - he is a worthy captain and will always have the fans hearts. Good luck Carlos and hopefully we will see you on the pitch on 3 August.
