New Boy Jordan One for the Future
Saturday, 24th Aug 2013 06:05

Blues boss Mick McCarthy says new signing Jordan Adekunle is very much one for the future. The 18-year-old signed a one-year deal at Portman Road earlier in the week after a trial, having impressed the Town manager while playing for his former club Crawley against the Blues in pre-season.

McCarthy said: “He’s got potential, anybody who saw the Crawley game, he went past Elliott Hewitt in the last 10 minutes as if Elliott wasn’t there. He’s really quick and pacey.

“It’s a chance, a chance for him, it’s a chance for us. He’s been training with us and he’s done fine.

“It’s one of those, you have a go and it might just turn out to be something good for both of us. Let’s hope it does.”

I assume Crawley will be due some compensation because of his age?

@rcman225. Because he needs to prove himself. We don't know he can make it at this level yet.

And if he does make it, he could go to another club for free :/

'Jordan one for the future'

So was our last Jordan, just a shame we had plebs at the club who couldn't see it. If this lad is a pacey winger then I don't care if he's 17, he'll be more use than Edwards.
