Derby Set to Switch Back to Saturday
Friday, 4th Jul 2014 17:59

Suffolk Constabulary are recommending that Town’s home derby against Norwich should switch back to a 12.15pm kick-off on Saturday 23rd August following a meeting of interested parties this afternoon. The game had previously moved from 3pm on the Saturday to noon on Sunday 24th August.

The clubs, the police and local councils were amongst those attending the meeting to discuss matters relating to the game, including the rail engineering work which is taking place between Norwich and Ipswich on the Sunday and the resultant lack of trains.

The scheduling of the fixture will finally be confirmed early next week and now seems almost certain to be on the Saturday at 12.15pm, even if Sky Sports decide to show the game live.

why on earth listen to th fuzz in the first place - they always go over the top and just luv the command and control. wot makes my blue blood boil is that the fuzz dictate wots needed and its the club (well ticket payers) who hve to pick up the bill of the bill..itfc and ncfc tell the fuzz to shove it - who needs a rolling road block and fuzz escort with robo cop on his beamer cycle all the wat tween norwich and ipswich and back - haven;t they got criminals to catch

lets hope thats the last we ever hear of switching dates for derby games - a nonsense driven by the police and their paranoya about fans, or is it just their normal heavy handed approach

LWNR2013, you asked what -

fuzz and bill = police, except when bill = costs charged to the club
beamer = BMW
cycle = motorcycle
tween = between

Well, i'll just have to get all my booze the night before and crack open my first can with my croissant Saturday morning. It's the English football fan's prerogative to get lagered up at a football match and act like a lout for 90 minutes. I will not be denied!
