St Ledger Signs Short-Term Deal
Thursday, 27th Nov 2014 12:40

Ireland defender Sean St Ledger has signed a short-term one-month deal with the Blues. The 29-year-old joined Town on trial earlier in the week and featured for the U21s in Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton.

Irish international St Ledger was a free agent having left Leicester at the end of last season.

St Ledger, who has been handed the Town number 24 shirt, was close to joining the Blues in January 2012 before regaining his place in the Foxes side.

Born in Solihull, he came through the ranks at Peterborough before spending time at Stevenage (loan), Preston, Middlesbrough (loan), Leicester and Millwall (loan). He has been capped by 37 times by Ireland, scoring three goals.

In the summer he spent time on trial with Huddersfield but his move broke down after Mark Robins's departure.

Lets hope that this is a brilliant acquisition from the big man, with an eye for a bargain to give the squad a little more cover over the festive period.
