Leicester Winger Linked
Monday, 23rd Feb 2015 12:37

Town are being linked with a loan move for Leicester City winger Anthony Knockaert.

The 23-year-old former France U20 and U21 international was a key member of the Foxes’ promotion side last season but has made only five starts and six sub appearances this year.

Roubaix-born Knockaert started his senior career with French side Guingamp before joining Leicester in August 2012, signing a three-year deal.

Great prospect, young hungry part of a good Leicester promotion side, but since tabb n Anderson are completely untouchable I wonder who he will replace???

Yes please, this would be excellent! Creative, exciting and a decent goal scoring record, exactly what we need. This would really show we mean business

Now that is the sort of player we need, he knew where the net is!

Would be an interesting addition & if it's true perhaps means MM wants to finally play with width. One thing though, don't let him take an injury time penalty after his effort against Watford a couple of years ago!!

We need a winger. This is the type f quality signing we need. A step out from Chaplow and Varney.

Would be a good addition as others have said, but I don't think he has the work rate Mick seemingly demands first and foremost, above everything else. Plus we already have an out and out winger called CAMERON STEWART!!!

If he doesn't defend he won't make the side obviously..................perhaps Stewart was getting lonely on the bench?

YES! Finally we go after someone with real quality. Superb player if true! But please oh please lets get him before Sunday. All morning I've been sat here dreading Sunday because we all know in our heart of hearts we are in for a hiding. Players must galvanise like never before or the wheels will completely come off

Let's sign him up then not play him at all, instead sticking with good old Tabby and Anderson and playing everyone out of position.

I know a few Leicester fans who are staggered this guy is not getting into their team this year. One of their most creative influences last season, even if there are certain elements of his game (simulation, selfishness, unnecessarily going for the spectacular) that need keeping in check.

He's absolutely not a McCarthy-type player so I'd be surprised if there's truth in the rumour, but he'd be an intriguing addition.

This guy would be class for us. Maybe not up to prem standards but was successful at championship level the other year.

Great news if true

An interesting prospect if true. Is he a RW or LW? Is rather this fella than Ando or Bishop being played out of position.
Also people; just because he's not 6ft 4 and build like a brick sh*t house doesn't not mean he's not a MM type of player - Andy Keogh was a light weight winger under MM at Wolves. Also look at Jonny Williams, again hardly a box to box type of player.

Was wondering what had happened to this guy last week and having seen how little he has featured did mention why hasn't we gone after him previously, was very impressive last season and be an ideal signing. Really hope it gets done!

A good link but we'll probably end up with Tony Dinning coming out of retirement instead. . . . FFP and all that

Tabb and Anderson offer nothing this season, time for a change and bishop isn't the answer playing wide, I would like to see what Stewart can do.
