Options Open for Mulryne
Options Open for Mulryne

Wantaway Norwich City midfielder Philip Mulryne says he has refused a new Carrow Road contract in order to keep his options open.

Several recent stories have linked the Northern Irishman and Town in recent weeks while Canaries' manager Nigel Worthington says he thinks Mulryne has a move already planned.

Mulryne said: "I want to keep my options open. I'm an ambitious player and when I left Manchester United I wanted to pay at as high a level as I could and I want to give myself that opportunity. This gives me a chance to see what's out there. I don't want to have any regrets when I finish - be left wishing that I'd taken the opportunity when I had it."

Mulryne has made no comment regarding the claims that he could be Town-bound in the summer.
