Colchester Parking and Shuttle Buses
Wednesday, 22nd Jul 2015 16:51

Town fans travelling to the Weston Homes Community Stadium for next Tuesday’s friendly against Colchester (KO 7.45pm) can take advantage of a full shuttle bus service, while parking is still available at the stadium car park.

With a big Blues contingent expected, the U’s advise booking parking at the stadium in advance. Fans are also able to use the Park and Ride car park.

For full details on parking visit Colchester’s website here, while information on the shuttle buses can be found here.

Town have already sold their initial allocation of 1,000 tickets with further seats having gone on sale today.

Phil, will we be able to pay at the gate?

As far as I'm aware, although in previous years I think there were queues at cash turnstiles and not everyone got in before kick-off.

We paid on the night last year and there was still a massive queue at kick off so missed the opening 10 minutes. If paying on the gate get there early.

Last time I went couldn't park, all local car parks near were charging greedy rates and queued for ages at ground and missed the 1st 20 minutes. The ground is a joke for it's small capacity and access and actually getting supporters in. I won't be going ever again.

Do the park and ride from the station. We did it last year with no problems!

Anyone know if the new (free) Cuckoo Farm car park on the A12 is available for an evening match, to save having to go into town? I know it is good for afternoon matches, but not sure if it closes when the park-and-ride buses stop. I have scoured both Colchester and Essex websites for info, but nothing is clear.
