Knudsen in Provisional Danish Squad
Tuesday, 22nd Sep 2015 16:01

Town left-back Jonas Knudsen has been named in a 45-man provisional Denmark squad for two internationals next month.

The Danes, who will announce a reduced party on Tuesday 29th September, face Portugal in Braga in their final Euro 2016 qualifier on Thursday 8th October and then France in a friendly in Copenhagen on the following Sunday.

Knudsen, 23, has previously won two full caps but none since he joined the Blues from hometown club Esbjerg in July.

Hmmmm still not convinced by him, started off ok, but not looked too good defensively of late.

Hope he becomes a Great Dane, and we've found ourselves the dogs bollox of a defender, given a little bit of time.

I think we're all jumping the gun a bit here. We've got to remember that neither Cresswell or Mings were anywhere as near as good when they joined us as when they left. Give him time and let our coaching staff work their magic.

Actually for Mings it was the other way around ^^ when he first came into the team he was class and then he faded towards the end of the season.

Jonas is gonna be a top player for us, you only have to look at him to see he is a proper footballer who will develop into a key member of the team. Has a lovely left foot and position ally he is good. He had a couple of blips but he is bedding down and the pace of championship football is 100mph. He has faced jota, Wallace, The Brighton and reading lads as well as cotterill. All of them r quality wingers and what a baptism of fire! COYB

Jonas looked very composed against Birmingham. To me he looked our best player. Technically skilled and calm but with an alertness about him. He was the stand out player for us against Birmingham and we will do well to hang on to him

Mings was awful in his first game away at Reading and look how that turned out! We certainly have a knack of finding young left backs and getting them working for us and I don't see any reason why Knudsen wont be the same!
