Marshall Joins Bury Fight

Andy Marshall has joined Matt Holland, TWTD as well as a number of other current and former professionals in buying a seat at threatened club Bury FC's Gigg Lane. Marshall, like Holland, was born in the Lancashire town.
Marshall said: "No one likes to see work colleagues lose their jobs which is effectively what would happen if Bury, or any club went out of business.
"Matt bought a seat and he showed me how I could go about helping, then other lads in the team said they wanted to help out so between us we are getting quite a few.
"It is especially significant for Matt and myself as we were born in Bury but most of the players want to help.
"It is important to remember what is going on outside the Premiership and we should do what we can to help other clubs. If I was in a similar situation I would hope fellow professionals would help us out."
£200,000 has already been raised as the Shakers fight for their existence. To buy a seat of your own visit their website: www.buryfc.co.uk or ring 0161 764 4881. Initially they had 12,000 seats up for sale, at £10 each.
