Season Ticket Prices Frozen
Thursday, 5th May 2016 11:45

Town have frozen season ticket prices at the early bird levels until 3pm on Monday 18th July. The initial early bird deadline passed on Monday 11th April with sales around seven per cent down on the same point last summer.

Season ticket sales were then halted until the Blues’ divisional status was confirmed, as is usually the case, but they are now back on sale.

Explaining the decision, MD Ian Milne told the club site: “[Owner] Marcus [Evans] has decided to keep the prices as they are until July 18th.

“There are going to be some fantastic games next season, especially with some big clubs coming down from the Premier League and keeping the prices frozen through the summer gives supporters that extra time to take advantage of the best prices at Portman Road.”

Town are currently in the process of writing to current season ticket holders who are yet to renew for 2016/17.

Of course it will be McCarthy. Who else could have achieved a top 6 and top 7/8 finish on the resources available to him?

....... a mere crumb of comfort really - How about showing some ambition to get out of this life sentence called 'The Championship'.

Some see the smallest crumb as 'earth moving' - and I guess always will, do to the nature of such.

Doesn't make $h*t of a difference to me, I'm not renewing.

Some one is panicking, over the lack of renewals lol.

Its clear that the decrease in season ticket sales has been sufficient for Mr Evans to take some action, not personally of course.
My two friends, long standing season ticket holders who have not renewed, had already prior to the last home game, received a questionnaire about why they had not renewed.
The Club says it is writing to all those who have not renewed.
Not sure if it is in addition to the above;but clearly the price freeze is an incentive to any waverers, which together with actions that could be taken in the transfer market, could have a marginal effect. No doubt Mr Evans is hoping for more;but if nothing else, the actions of many long term supporters of this once great club has shaken the complacency which had seemed to set in.
Whether it will have any influence on McCarthy and his brand of football however remains to be seen.

Anyone who thinks the football will be any different next year under McCarthy needs their head tested.

If anyone believes Evans would invest decent money if we had high season ticket sales, they need a reality check, it's the ITFC wheel of failure I'm afraid

M.Evans- FFP, STABILITY, PUTTING LOADS OF MONEY IN ANYWAY, HIGH WAGES, etc

MM- WE'VE GOT NO MONEY, ALL THE OTHER TEAMS HAVE QUALITY SQUADS, EVERYONE ELSE HAS SPENT MILLIONS, WORK WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT, CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN WHAT WE'VE GOT.

FANS- HOOFBALL, 15 AND COUNTING, DOUGIE,TABBY, DOPEY, AND LOADS OF OTHER THINGS

Repeat

A sensible move by the Club, but as usual they have not furnished the supporters with all the information - until the Match Day Ticket prices are announced people can't compare and know if a Season Ticket is right for them.
