Ticket Promotion at Burton Game
Wednesday, 21st Sep 2016 19:16

Town have announced a ticket promotion at the Burton Albion home match on Tuesday 18th October with season ticket holders, Silver Card and Ambassador members entitled to buy seats at reduced prices.

Season ticket holders can buy four additional tickets for £10 for adults, £8 for over-60s, students and the under-20s, and £3 for the under-16s.

Silver Card holders and Ambassador members can buy their first tickets for £20 for adults, £10 for over-60s, students and the under-20s. They can then purchase up to four additional tickets the same prices as season ticket holders.

Tickets, which will be available at Planet Blue and via ITFC Direct, will go on sale to Platinum members on Thursday 22nd September, to Silver Card holders on Friday 23rd September, Gold Card holders on Monday 26th September and season ticket holders on Wednesday 28th September, before they go on general sale on Friday 30th September. Tickets at the promotional prices can only be purchased in advance of the game, not on the turnstiles.

The promotion also applies to visiting Burton Albion season ticket holders with the Brewers making their first ever trip to Portman Road.

Meanwhile, tickets have gone on sale for the U23s Premier League Cup tie against Liverpool at Portman Road on Sunday 2nd October (KO 1pm).

Tickets for general admission to the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand costs £5 for adults (£3 for season ticket holders), £3 for over-60s, students, the under-20s and under-16s.

Town are also offering a Pie and a Pint package in D Block of the Cobbold Stand at £14.50.

If I'm reading this right, great initiative to give the away support season ticket holders the option to buy tickets at £10 per head. There must be a mutual solution from club to club. Villa fans were great, a packed away end improves the game, no doubt about it (for me).

Not much use of a promotion on a Tuesday night game...very little influence.

Broomy99 - you mention the packed away end for the Villa match and I agree.

Can Phil or anyone tell me why we appear not to be selling away tickets in the terrace section below the away fans this year like we have done in the past. It was the same for the budgie match. It seems to me that the Club are now prepared to extend the away supporters section virtually to the half way line in the upper Cobbold - not much fun for fans in expensive seats sitting close to them I should think. My guess is something to do with "Police advice", but I would be interested to know the reason.

Good to see ITFC helping to boost the crowd and create a good atmosphere for us all. Welcome to Portman Rd Albion !

Their achievements in recent seasons show what can be achieved in football with good players and good management with the right backing. I hope we thrash 'em, but it's great to see clubs coming up from lower divisions for the first time, really going for it and competing in one of the toughest divisions in the world.

It's a decent move - will attract a few Saturday afternoon players.

Surely Tuesday night for locals isn't a complete write off of an evening? Understand for away support but a few wavering fans could go ;)
