Who invited the financial director? Milne by any chance? I hope he's not planning to use him to come up with financial excuses as to why ME isn't investing the money in that a championship club needs to have a fighting chance.
I don't think fan's give two hoots if Evans would loose money tbh, we as fans have been throwing our hard earned money at season tickets season after season and not getting a decent return on them, he needs to do the same.

This would be a good chance to play comment bingo...
1 - its a sellers market
2 - financial fair play restrictions
3 - multiple million pound bids in for several players
4 - money invested in other areas
5 - coming through from the academy.....

What's the point? As if they'll ask him anything worthwhile, I don't think it'll be a journalistic "grilling" somehow, just more club properganda about how lucky the club is to have saint Marcus who already puts in X amounts in anyway. Anyway they can't say anything otherwise that'll be the last time they come "live from Portman road".

Mr Milne, you told ITFC Supporters' Club that ITFC pays wages in the "upper quartile" of the Championship, but did you mean bottom quartile?

A good 5-point plan from Marcus Evans, but can you tell us when this starts because no signs of it yet?

Has the club come up with a forecast for season ticket sales next year, considering that many people who bought tickets this year are not even bothering to turn up so would be excluded from the current attendance figures, which are themselves the lowest for 17 years?

With so many fans walking away (some at half-time on Tuesday) how can we continue to charge premium match ticket prices?

If we got promoted, finished bottom of the Premier League, then stayed in the Championship three years afterwards that would be worth about £180M in prize money. That is vastly more than when Marcus Evans took over ITFC, so how come he puts in so little money now compared with then? The "seven figure bids" may sound good, but we bought a player for £2.75M in this league 17 years ago!

Did MEG group buy ITFC to get a shot at Premier League corporate ticketing and is that a strategy he is no longer pursuing? Is this why our famous club is falling apart at the seams?

Loose = not tight
Lose = not a win or a draw.

Jeez

Please could you ensure they don't get away with any laughable spin or repeat previous excuses for not signing players. It may be worth pointing out that most (not all) fans are fed up with Evans and McCarthy. Ticket prices being extremely high in comparison to the product on offer I.e. Low quality signings and boring negative football should be the focus.

The football (product) is terrible and has been since Mick arrived - temporarily successful but due to a negative, not positive approach. Manager's fault.
The tactics are dismal - no plan B etc - costs us many results. Manager's fault.
The scouting is dismal at both first team and academy levels - we only seem to look at what is front of us or via chance (e.g. Mings, Moore etc). This aspect needs a huge investment of effort NOW! Manager and club's fault.
Signing strategy (linked to above) - rubbish. Manager and ME's fault.
Academy to first team link not working - hard to tell who's fault but the absence of a whole club ethos (as per progressive clubs) means something is wrong.
Pricing / marketing structure - ME's fault.
Customer satisfaction / value for money / customer relations - terrible. Everyone's fault but the fans!
On the basis of the above I think we should be told what the 5 point plan is to address these areas of failure (particularly the product being crap - we'd put up with mid- table if we at least tried to play football!) - and then perhaps us fans could be a but more supportive of the players on the pitch 😗

Love to get an answer too this
Sheff we'd have just spent £10m on Rhodes, Bristol city were able to trigger clauses in Matty Taylor contract, other clubs can spend money but we can't. Why is this?
Is ME trying to keep costs down to attract new owner?
Has ME lost faith with MM?
Is ME saving money for summer spending spree? If he is excuses will not be acceptable if we don't.

BlueMachines - I'm well aware of the difference, in my case I don't bother proof reading. I always assume people have the intelligence to figure out what is meant anyway. I am sure others in the same boat are of the same mind. Apologies if it offends you so much. Lol

My take on what I heard .....

1) ME not providing further investment at this stage .. we have a budget and are sticking to it.
2) money from Murphy and Mings gone on wages and other fees.
3) ME and IM will be here for the long term ... MM has said he is reviewing his position in the summer.
4) Accepted entertainment value was poor. Seemed to place the blame for this on the players.... it will be interesting to see how that goes down with them.
5) Chambers 1 year contract extension ITFC has on him ... he will have to wait and see what happens.
6) We have a budget and are sticking to it .. was repeated many many times.
7) ME has shown commitment to the club and MM with the acquisition of so many players in the transfer window. No acknowledgement that these were loans or players who cant even get games for either rival clubs .. or conference teams.

Not listened before .. thought the interviewer from BBC radio was weak and spineless .. however did put some particularly cutting listener comments to Milne where every time he just repeated the ME script. Thought that when either the questions were particularly weak or the answers even more pathetic than most that Phil really stepped in to try to press the issues.

Switched off after Milne left in disgust.
