Nottingham Forest are prepared to let former Town striker David Johnson leave for just £120,000 his agent has said. Johnson spent much of the latter part of the season on loan and scored five goals in eight games in his final spell away from the City Ground, at Burnley under his old Bury manager Stan Ternent.

Johnson's agent Phil Graham said: "There isn't a fee - they're prepared to let him go for a free as long as the buying club pay his signing-on free from Forest which was £120,000.

"He has been playing well, scoring goals and has got his confidence back.

"Burnley still want to sign him. Part of the loan deal was that they had to pay his wages until July 1st so they probably won't be rushing to do it before then."

Johnson left Town for £3 million in January last year and has never really settled at Forest. The midlanders are keen to reduce their wage bill as they face another year in Division One.
