Luke Hyam played the first 65 minutes as Town’s U23s drew 0-0 at West Brom in the Premier League Cup, the midfielder’s first game back after the knee injury he sustained in pre-season.

Centre-half Tommy Smith played the full 90 minutes of his second U23s game as he continues his comeback from the back operation he underwent in September.

Town remain bottom of their Premier League Cup group and must beat Huddersfield in their final group game and hope West Brom don't win theirs against Liverpool to progress to the next stage.

U23s: Crowe, Fowler, C Smith, T Smith, Woolfenden, Hyam (Nydam 65), Blanchfield (McDonnell 65), Dozzell, McKendry (Folami 79), Morris, McLoughlin. Unused: Hayes, Robinson.

Stourbridgeblue added 21:53 - Feb 13 Hyam certainly got stuck in. Can't be far away from getting on the bench. Tommy looked fine in a rather low key affair. Dozzell stood out and was impressed with my first look at Nydam.

Pilgrimblue added 10:38 - Feb 14 All you can hope for him is that he gets back to playing maybe not for us as we don't know how his injuries have affected him. Perhaps he'll get eased back in slowly then use summer break to get fully fit. Anyway good luck
