Smith's Return Only Change at Fulham
Saturday, 8th Apr 2017 14:46

Tommy Smith replaces the injured Steven Taylor in an otherwise unchanged Town side facing Fulham at Craven Cottage, while top scorer Tom Lawrence is back on the bench having recovered from his groin injury.

The Blues will line up in their 3-5-2 system with Smith taking over from Taylor, who is out for the season with a hamstring problem, in the back three.

Fulham drop their recent regular keeper David Button with Marcus Bettinelli set to start between the sticks.

Fulham: Bettinelli, Fredericks, Malone, McDonald, Cairney (c), Ayite, Johansen, Madl, Aluko, Martin, Kalas. Subs: Button, Kebano, Parker, Cyriac, Ream, Piazon, Sessegnon.

Town: Bialkowski, Spence, Chambers (c), Berra, Smith, Kenlock, Diagouraga, Ward, Huws, Sears, McGoldrick. Subs: Gerken, Emmanuel, Bru, Williams, Lawrence, Samuel, Pitman. Referee: Geoff Eltringham (County Durham).

Good to see the unmentionables are not anywhere in sight!...uphill task today but wouldn't rule out one of McCarthy's backs against the wall draw, yes another.

Simply proves that we beat Wigan because they were crap. Back to the walls defending away from home doesn't work clearly.
