Town Reveal New Home Kit
Monday, 8th May 2017 19:08

Town have revealed their new home kit for the 2017/18 season.

The traditional-looking Adidas strip, which sees a return to white shorts, is available for pre-order from ITFC Direct or from Planet Blue from 9am tomorrow.

Speaking recently to BBC Radio Suffolk's Life's a Pitch, MD Ian Milne said he felt it was a kit that would go down well with supporters: “I’ve seen it and it’s traditional and I think fans will love it.”

Town say the new away kit, which we understand to be red and along the same lines as the home strip, will be revealed before the end of the month.

Fans pre-ordering before 3pm on Tuesday 23rd May will got into a draw with prizes including a season ticket for the campaign ahead.

Maybe if people don't buy the kit then this will help to get the msg to ME that we are unhappy with what he has done to the club.
Maybe....

Love the picture by the way.

All that smoke in the background.

I can't see any accompanying mirrors, but as Milne was quoted in the article I am sure they're there somewhere!

Simple classic strip.I'd like to see Evans give the shirt sponsorship to the Sir Bobby Robson charity in the same way that Barca did when they had Unicef on their shirts.

As much as I do highly rate all 3 of the players in the picture it does speak volumes about Mick's Ipswich that we have a keeper and two defenders promoting our kit.

NVB John - nice very drol,

I'd just like my voice to the heartfelt wish for a triumph of product over packaging for the 2017-18 season.

how about offering it with the servest sponsor that's on the u23 shirt . love the idea ferguson made in his post . no one should buy it either. until that m.e logo is removed but alas some will so the club will never get the message.sad times indeed

Why do we now change both shirts every season , to squeeze a little more out of us ?
Not putting any money into yet more shirts until the chairman invests some of his fortune rather than a few million which includes his shirt sponsor , ground sponsor into the playing squad .
Also the kids not actually bothered to have them anymore , which is just sad

I really like the shirt but hate this #ONEOFOUROWN gimmick - if it came from a club which respected it's fans and was owned by Ipswich people then fair enough, however it isn't - we have distant corporate ownership and management who are as far from OneOfOurOwn as can be.....

Let's be honest, that'a a great kit. At first I thought it was a bit plain, then saw the horizontal shaded stripes which makes it awesome! Agree with most that stripes on the arms would've looked cool. Also that sponsor is naff....

I never buy shirts but this one made me think twice. But with ME on the front? No thanks. If I did I would tape over the front. Or put Bobby Robson or Palestine or something on instead.

Finally, I think I do prefer the badge with yellow on. Showing my age I guess, harking back to when the club was at its best!

Oh dear jas0999. It's an ipswichtown shirt so should be proud to wear it. It has Evans name on front due to the fact he found a way to put extra money into the club without breaking the ffp rules, by one of his companies sponsoring the team. And Also, u always moan that he won't spend money on transfer fees? Well if less shirts are sold just because people want to protest against him then there'll be even less money available to the manager. Called cutting off ur nose to spite ur face i think you'll find.

@rickw

Agree re thiese stupid #strongerasone & #oneofourown hashtag cobblers - just trying to mimic the Welsh football team's #togetherstronger (which actually had some passion behind it).

@Ferguson

Would love to see The Sir Bobby Robson foundation on the front - Would also love to see Sir Bobby's name above the stand rather than just stuck on the side panels from next season.

And dont get me wrong. I wouldn't be against us getting a new owner but I'm not convinced anything would change. And it could even be for the worse if we did? The debt would still be there but to The new owners ( presuming they but the debt as well as the club), so the new owner would be in the same position as Evans is now. Plus we could end up with an ownerctheclikes of Blackburn, Blackpool, Orient, Coventry to name but 4 clubs with owners much worse than we already have. It's strange to how everyone blames Evans for our current plight, rather than the person who got us into this position in the 1st place, Mr Sheepshanks.

Who on earth is behind the cheesy videos such as this one for the new kit. There was an equally as awful one for season tickets if i remember :-(

Blues1 .... are you for real a man worth £765million wont be able to put money in because a few thousand fans wont buy a shirt as a protest for the downward spiral the club has been heading in who also amassed £65million in the last year , talk about scraping the barrel to find excuses
2

blues1 added 14:08 - May 9
Surco. Ur trouble is that like too many other people u seem tonthink Evans has millions Of pounds in his bank account free to use as he likes. The fact is that the vast majority of his £765m worth is tied up in his businesses. Of course I'm not suggesting that a lack of shirt sales will be the only reason that there's be a lack of money for players. But it certainly wont help, along with the drop in season ticket sales which is certain. As for him amassing £65m in the last year? If u read the story of his wealth it clearly stated that his worth was unchanged from last year. Unless u read a different story than i did. Also what does anyone actually think not buying a short as a protest will achieve? The only kind of protest that will possibly achieve anything at all is to protest in the ground. Not renewing season tickets may help but not buying a short is going to have no effect on Evans whatsoever.

Blues1... So why did you earlier state that not buying a shirt would give the manager less money to spend ?
The value of the club is significantly higher than when he took over and is seen as an investment and could be borrowed against ,or he could easily put transfer money into the club against other financial schemes and properties that he owns under the group , he chooses not too and has hid behind the non existent FFP and whatever excuse he wants to use now but continues to churn out more shirts than ever before , raise prices in the ground for the worst football witnessed at Portman Road and generally con the paying supporters

Ferguson added 17:11 - May 9
Thanks for your support ! How can we make an official ITFC Sir Bobby foundation shirt happen I wonder.
1

blues1 added 17:48 - May 9
Because surco, it would give him less money to spend. My point about it having no effect on Evans is that if sales of shirts are down he not gonna suddenly think he should sell up, it simply would mean he would have another reason to spend less. So people's protest would simply backfire. I won't criticise people who decide not to buy 1, it's a personal decision whether to or not. Just as I wouldn't criticise anyone who isn't renewing their season ticket. I seriously have been considering whether to or not. But ultimately both those things will affect the finances of the club whether we like that fact or not.
