Championship Fixtures Released on Wednesday
Tuesday, 20th Jun 2017 09:48

Town’s fixtures for the 2017/18 Championship campaign will be announced on Wednesday morning at 9am when they will be available on TWTD.

The new season starts over the weekend of Saturday 5th August with the first round of the Carabao Cup - in which Town face Luton at Kenilworth Road - during the following week.

The regular Championship campaign ends over the weekend of Saturday 5th May with the play-off final set for Saturday 26th May.

In a change to the usual scheduling the Championship play-off final will be the first of the three to be played to give an extra couple of days ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

I must admit, I don't like years when the Championship is the first of the playoff finals. Feels like the whole domestic season climaxes with the question of who's getting promoted from League Two!

Why do we always seem to play Norwich at home first in our two fixtures? Do these things never rotate? Maybe we need to swap it around to get a change of luck against them!

My prediction is that we'll play everybody home and away at some stage.

On the first day of training our players will be shooting clay pigeons. Apparently it's good practice for hitting moving targets that are 150 feet up in the air.

Leeds home and away are the only fixtures I will be attending this coming season, unless i decide to stay in the pub like a few of my leeds mates do...
If the 'Dreaded Dino' was to depart thowever hen I will definitely purchase a season ticket, unlikely, but I live in hope!!

Think it maybe time to start afresh with all our backing and forget the dull past. Think it's time to remove embarrassing Forest scoreline from board, as reminding us of a pathetic performance

Hope we do get the Budgies early on 'cos we have more chance of plucking their feathers before they get chirpy (which I fear they might).
