Bunn Absent as Terriers Draw
Wednesday, 2nd Aug 2017 09:53

Huddersfield winger Harry Bunn, linked with a move to the Blues, was an absentee as the Terriers drew 3-3 with VfB Stuttgart in a pre-season friendly in Austria yesterday evening.

The 24-year-old, who Town are reportedly looking to sign in a deal said to be worth around £600,000, was named in the party which travelled to Schwaz but was conspicuously missing from the squad which faced the Bundesliga side with his absence left unexplained by the Premier League new boys' official website.

Something tells me he would be a good signing, even though I'm not a fan of man-bunns!

Perhaps he's injured

I'm not sure this is a currant story. He will cost too much despite his crosses being hot.

Happy as long as he shows pride in the shirt and gives 100% in every game. We need committed pro''s who always want to win and and get stuck in. This guy sounds like he could be good so let's go for it cannot be worse than some of the powder puffs we seem to have who spend more time out than in

Funny that we get excited when we spend just over half a million pounds, but if Middlesborough spent that on a player, that would be a completely different response.

Anyway, I'd be happy with this but as long as a decent target man is also brought in and a new gaffer!

Probably got a sickness bug, or some other plausible excuse. What isn't plausible is that he is signing for town. Utter non story. Lazy reporting again.

This is a good signing if it happens although I still think we are weak at the back, hope they prove me wrong on Saturday.

The player is ordinary at his best, he is just not needed at his club or at Ipswich. We need an experienced centra half to help our very leaky defence

Raggett from Lincoln if poss. Then fork out for Tom Lawrence and we are half way there

I'd be happy to have him on board, decent player who would give us extra options. Celina is right footed but will mainly play on the left.
Signing him will have no impact on us getting a striker or another defender (not sure we are looking for one as Iorfa has been brought in to play RB or cover at CH). All other transfer business doesn't just stop until after someone is brought in. Whether we are any closer to getting that new striker or not hasn't been impacted by this reported bit of business.

Enjoyed the cheesy Bunn puns!
If this Bunn suits our old (passed best before end date) burger of a manager, then I am concerned since he appears to be another with a short shelf life. However, if he can make up our bakers dozen and be the difference then great.
Good to be keeping to British Bunns but how about looking on the continent at croissants, pans etc?.
