Town Unchanged at Hull City
Saturday, 18th Nov 2017 14:14

Town boss Mick McCarthy has named an unchanged side for this afternoon’s game against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

The Blues will again line-up in their attacking 4-2-3-1 system with eight-goal top scorer Martyn Waghorn, seven-goal David McGoldrick and six-goal Bersant Celina behind Joe Garner, who has netted four times this season.

Callum Connolly again joins Cole Skuse, who is over the injury he suffered in the 3-0 victory over Preston before the international break, in the deeper midfield roles.

There is no place in the 18 for Emyr Huws, who was in contention to return to the squad for the first time since joining the Blues on a permanent basis in the summer after recovering from his achilles injury.

Hull make four changes, Michael Hector, Kevin Stewart, Markus Henriksen and Nouha Dicko coming into the side for Max Clark, David Meyler, Jackson Irvine and Fraizer Campbell.

Hull City: McGregor, Aina, Tomori, Dawson (c), Hector, Stewart, Larsson, Henriksen, Bowen, Grosicki, Dicko. Subs: Marshall, Masuch, Clark, Meyler, Irvine, Evandro, Diomande.

Town: Bialkowski, Spence, Webster, Chambers (c), Knudsen, Skuse, Connolly, Celina, McGoldrick, Waghorn, Garner. Subs: Gerken, Iorfa, Ward, Sears, Nydam, Bru, Kenlock. Referee: David Coote (Nottinghamshire).

Happy enough with that. Which Skuse will get is the big question

Not surprised to see Skuse in but I'm am that Connolly gets in ahead of Bru

I can live with the 11. Connolly over Bru is pleasing. Just a shame no Huws off the bench. Guess we shall see him in mid week.

Skuse straight back in. Park the bus time and hoof to the forwards.

Huws should be on the bench at least!

Skuse and Huws both coming back from injury. Skuse hasn't played for the last few weeks whilst Huws has. Skuse goes straight into the starting 11 whilst Huws doesn't even get on the bench.

No favourites here.

Connelly remains an interesting choice, but winnable game!

Just waiting for the inept, number 8 to cost us points yet again when we were so much better without him after his injury last week
