Dyer on Life's a Pitch
Friday, 8th Dec 2017 18:37

Former Town and Middlesbrough midfielder Kieron Dyer will be speaking about his soon-to-be-published book, Old Too Soon, Smart Too Late, on Life’s a Pitch on BBC Radio Suffolk on Saturday (12-2pm). Host Mark Murphy will also be joined by legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, who also played for Boro late in his career, New Tractorboy and TWTD's Phil Ham, who will be at the Riverside Stadium ahead of Saturday's match.

Dyer’s long-awaited book relates how a generation of talented English footballers, taken out of working class childhoods and presented with a world of glitz, glamour, wealth and temptation, failed to cope with the riches that were presented to them, and often fell apart. The 38-year-old former England international now coaches the Blues' U16s.

Can Town build on the wins against Derby and Nottingham Forest? Can they maintain their play-off push? Give us your thoughts on those questions or anything else via email, Mark’s Twitter or during the show by phone on 01473 212121 or text to 81333 starting your message with SFK.

The show can be heard on 95.5FM, 95.9FM, 103.9FM and 104.6FM, and also now on DAB, or online via a widget on this page by clicking here.
