Barnsley Striker Linked With Town, Reading and QPR
Sunday, 7th Jan 2018 15:01

Town are one of a number of Championship clubs reportedly showing interest in Barnsley frontman Tom Bradshaw.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Blues, Reading and QPR are among several clubs keen on the 25-year-old.

Wales international Bradshaw started his career with Aberystwyth Town before moving on to hometown club Shrewsbury and then Walsall before joining the Tykes for £650,000 in the summer of 2016.

Bradshaw, who is 6ft tall, has been a regular for Barnsley this season, scoring 11 goals in 22 starts and eight sub appearances. His Oakwell contract runs to the summer of 2019.

Town are currently not in the market for a striker - although manager Mick McCarthy has admitted that with David McGoldrick’s contract up at the end of the season it’s possible the Irish international could move on during the window - and the Blues are close to moving on one of their frontmen, Kieffer Moore, to the Tykes for a fee understood to be £750,000.

Ronnyd. Living in between chelmsford and Colchester, there are a number of potential Ipswich away days I could do. There's chelmsford city, Maldon and Tiptree, coggeshall town fc, Braintree town plus a couple of others. Meet up,for a beer before the game and home by 530

So Blues 1 Moore's intended move is paper talk McCarthy and C Palace talk pure speculation get real my main issue is not who comes and goes it's what is going on day to day at the club and at what point it's going to be really hard to rectify a sinking ship.

He's a decent striker but cannot see him getting in ahead of Garner or Waghorn..presumably he'd be back up but Pitman wasn't happy being back up so why would Bradshaw?

Maybe if our genius manager gave some of our youth strikers more game time we'd get to see them in action for ipswich town rather than Luton,Peterborough or soon to be Aston Villa (Marriott).

A nonsense link. Barnsley are strengthening not weakening by disposing of someone with such a high strike rate.

We don't need another striker and Barnsley have no need or want to sell. Nonsense link. I'll be more interested if we are linked with an out of contract Midfielder or a Defender on loan.

Strikers isn't the issue at our club. We could have Ronaldo and Messi up front but with poor wingers, non creative midfielders and dodgy defenders we'd struggle.

ANOTHER Rumour in the Mill ?? I think that the only Rumour we want to hear right now is that DINO has left the building with his P45 in one hand and probably a wad of cash in the other !!!

But with Waghorn Garner Drinan and Dids still here plus Morris Folami Patterson .not sure if this is a runner . Tell ya what put klug and nash in charge till end of the season

We do not need a striker! If we play the ball on the ground, Garner and Waghorn will score goals. The reason they are not scoring goals consistently is because we don't play consistent football.

Are we then looking for a striker who can bring a hoofed long ball down from the heavens, do all the work and put it in the net all on his own as well because that kind of player doesn't exist.

We need a decent central midfielder or defender.
