Town Announce New Shirt Sponsor
Thursday, 11th Jan 2018 12:16

Town have announced a new three-and-a-half-year sponsorship deal which will see the name Magical Vegas emblazoned across the Blues’ first-team shirts.

Magical Vegas is an online gaming operator, a brand of Daub Alderney Ltd, which is part of the Stride Gaming group. The deal, worth up to £2 million in the Championship but potentially more in the Premier League, runs to the end of 2020/21 season.

The name will also see the Magical Vegas logo replace the Marcus Evans name on the Blues’ red away shirt, but not the home kit, for the remainder of this season.

The club say that fans who have bought an adult away shirt for this season can have the Magical Vegas logo overprinted for free at Planet Blue, although not immediately. Full details will be released soon.

Children’s sizes will continue to carry the Marcus Evans logo for the remainder of the campaign but due to FA guidelines the Magical Vegas name won’t appear on next season’s junior shirts.

“A lot of hard work has taken place on both sides and it’s the start of an exciting new partnership,” Town MD Ian Milne told the club website.

Town’s director of sales, Rosie Richardson, added: “We’ve been working on this agreement since the autumn and we are all delighted it has come to fruition.

Magical Vegas is an exciting brand and we look forward to a new era of shirt sponsor at Ipswich Town Football Club.”

Konstantinos Veletas, spokesperson for the Stride Gaming group, continued: “We are delighted to be working alongside such a prestigious football club as Ipswich Town.

“It’s a thrilling new venture for us and we are looking forward to a very successful partnership over the next three and a half years.”

Magical Vegas is an online casino site offering a large selection of casino games, ranging from online slots and live casino to scratch cards and arcade games while also offering an extensive selection of exclusive games.

Being associated with gambling is a real blow.....sorry but this does not fit with the ITFC that I fell in love with 40 years ago.....a low point.

The word " Magical " doesn't really fit right with ITFC at the moment !!....Joke would of been more appropriate !

I'm not too fussed about being sponsored by a Casino as I like a bit of a gamble from time to time. I can see why it would rub people the wrong way though and especially at a time where lots of fans are not happy with how things are going. However, that shirt looks awful with the logo.

Well, at least the two organizations have a similar win chance.

How low can we go? We have always had prestigious, decent companies as our shirt sponsor (until Evans) now we have some small time gambling business that nobody has heard of and will encourage our young supporters to gamble and at a time when there is a real focus on how inappropriate this is. Just for a crock of gold. Evans you should be ashamed but we can all guess you aren't.

A club which recently attempted to help Chopras gambling problem, now has an online gambling site on its shirt. I can't believe what i am reading? football has gone mad to money and so has my Ipswich town. I miss football.

Rather have Disneyland characters across our shirts than this. Not the club I support.

1. Hideous logo.
2. Betting company.

Wonderful...

Couldn't they negotiate a new deal with Greene King?

Yet another step in denigrating the once proud name of ITFC. I for one won't be wearing any replica shirts with that on. It's bad enough to have to play in a league sponsored by Sky Bet. Gambling is a serious problem in this country affecting large numbers of families and I have had enough of its gleeful proliferation.

Aside from the disappointment to fans of our club being sponsored by online gambling, I am very surprised that Evans is happy to not be shirt sponsor anymore as I am sure he thinks it's good advertising? Perhaps he is looking to sell?

Absolutely shameful that this once proud family club has sunk so low as to promote on-line gambling on the shirt.

Ok,it's revenue for the club but the Logo looks horrendous. If that's the best we can do then why don't we advertise something worth while.Life is a gamble so why do we have to advertise gambling.Just coming to PR at the moment is a gamble.🤔

I will not be going to any Town matches whilst we have a gambling shirt sponsor, personal reasons. The club I supported is, from today, a thing of the past.
