Town Announce New Shirt Sponsor
Thursday, 11th Jan 2018 12:16

Town have announced a new three-and-a-half-year sponsorship deal which will see the name Magical Vegas emblazoned across the Blues’ first-team shirts.

Magical Vegas is an online gaming operator, a brand of Daub Alderney Ltd, which is part of the Stride Gaming group. The deal, worth up to £2 million in the Championship but potentially more in the Premier League, runs to the end of 2020/21 season.

The name will also see the Magical Vegas logo replace the Marcus Evans name on the Blues’ red away shirt, but not the home kit, for the remainder of this season.

The club say that fans who have bought an adult away shirt for this season can have the Magical Vegas logo overprinted for free at Planet Blue, although not immediately. Full details will be released soon.

Children’s sizes will continue to carry the Marcus Evans logo for the remainder of the campaign but due to FA guidelines the Magical Vegas name won’t appear on next season’s junior shirts.

“A lot of hard work has taken place on both sides and it’s the start of an exciting new partnership,” Town MD Ian Milne told the club website.

Town’s director of sales, Rosie Richardson, added: “We’ve been working on this agreement since the autumn and we are all delighted it has come to fruition.

Magical Vegas is an exciting brand and we look forward to a new era of shirt sponsor at Ipswich Town Football Club.”

Konstantinos Veletas, spokesperson for the Stride Gaming group, continued: “We are delighted to be working alongside such a prestigious football club as Ipswich Town.

“It’s a thrilling new venture for us and we are looking forward to a very successful partnership over the next three and a half years.”

Magical Vegas is an online casino site offering a large selection of casino games, ranging from online slots and live casino to scratch cards and arcade games while also offering an extensive selection of exclusive games.

This just proves what a complete bunch of muppets we now have ruining our once proud club!
Do they honestly think this shirt is going to be worn by Town fans, and actually hand over real money for one, if they offered it to me outside Planet Blue for nothing!! i would decline in the most strongest way!!
How on earth can they say they are excited about it? plain idiots!! we have sunk to an all time low with this deal!!
Shame on you at Portman rd, Milne get your fat ar-se away from my club, you useless lump of foul smelling lard!

Will the last person to leave Portman Road please turn off the lights.

And so we slip further and further from being a decent, respected football club punching above our weight. Some people missing the point entirely in commenting on the design of the logo, and the look of the shirt. Yeah, they're both sh!t but this should be about the fact that the club sponsor of Ipswich Town Football Club (est 1878) is an online gambling company. A quick online search reveals that the parent company operate a raft of cheap tacky online gambling sites.

And ITFC is aligning themselves with this? And we're meant to sit back and say 'great'?

What work will the new club sponsor be doing to engage with supporters? Will be it be altruistic community-based activity - or will it be competitions and promotions to encourage people to gamble? I wonder.

Some people might be saying 'yeah, but it's football these days. What can you do?' What you can - and should - do is complain. Loudly. Vote with your feet. Vote with your wallet/purse.

New low....didn't think it possible
Ever increasing proof that online gambling is having an adverse affect on families and destroying lives of individuals

Our once great club is now linked with gambling and a firm often referred to in the press as nothing more than a ticket tout ......wow ME you must be soooo proud

I will never buy a shirt with this logo on it

Although I've heard it's not made of the usual cheap polyester so I'm sure it will cotton on

Some good points made about the League being Sly Bet Championship, but the Club doesn't have a choice with that. Also about betting in the stadium - but there is a world of difference between having a flutter on a one-off game with a bookmaker (not the Club) and the Club actively promoting on-line gambling which is notoriously compulsive and addictive that the Club will now be associated with. Also, just because other clubs have gambling spoons does not make it right for ITFC. Really feel the Club has sold it's soul with this one, and to repeat, it looks horrendous - like its made from cheap plastic.

Not to have this sponsorship would not deny the Club two million pounds as other more appropriate sponsors could have been found.

Another thought, if the away shirts will only carry the Magical Vegas logo until the end of this season, what other disaster for the sponsor to be displayed on the away shirt for next season and beyond is yet to be announced ? It doesn't bear thinking about.

They will have us playing in yellow and green next.

Very few replica shirts will be sold as it stands.

Well that's no parents buying away shirts for their children for starters ...
and no self respecting Adult would wear that either
Shrewd move idiots in the boardroom.

I am genuinely concerned about this club were sliding into the football mire, more and more each update from PR

Worst site ever. Do not use

Having use the free spins I thought I deposit and try the site for real. I got a email about deposit and receive 20 free spins, anyway deposit used free spins won nothing, so spent my money on rainbow riches picknmix, was winning a lot thing woohoo, got up to £900 next thing game pause said error, refreshed and I had £4 in my account, went onto live chat who informed me I had to spend my money x25 then any winners would be converted to £10 and I spent some so I only ended up with £4 omg what a joke, so after depositing and winning over £900 i ended up with £4 please stay away from site who steals depositing money and spend somewhere else or keep it safe.

tried this Casino after receiving a mailshot, well what can I say?

Of all the ones I've had a stab at this is the worse, bonuses and features are near impossible to trigger and when you do they pay very little, a small percentage of what it cost you to get it in the first place!

I reported this to the customer service team after wasting £400 in a very very short time, unbelievably quick, I was shocked at how quickly my money disappeared.

Following my complaint and request to close the account the customer service chap said have another go, Casinos are based on luck and you've probably had a bad run, so, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, ten minutes later I was £100 lighter, no wins, no bonuses, no features.

Avoid this Casino, I've never played in one so heavily weighted to the house, it must be magical for them to extort so much money so quickly from their customers or should I say mugs..................

If you want to be skint, have no fun, spin reels for the sake of it with no opportunity to win, log in, if you want a good chance of fun and a good run for your money, go to Gala a reputable, well established Casino that does give you the chance to win!

These people need reporting to the regulator, and these are the people we have got into bed with, !! SHAME ON YOU ITFC

And that is what Trustpilot reviews have to say from people that have actually signed up with this dodgey gambling company! i just cannot let this goill will be emailing the club, with attatched reviews and asking what in Gods name are they thinking about!! Two Million quid, that is if they ever get it which looks unlikely from what their customers say!!
