Knudsen Set to Return as Blues Face Hull But Iorfa Out
Monday, 12th Mar 2018 14:05

Jonas Knudsen is expected to be OK for Tuesday’s home game against Hull City after missing Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Sheffield United with a hamstring problem, but Dominic Iorfa won’t be involved due to the thigh injury he sustained in the first half against the Blades.

“Dominic’s injured, he won’t be fit, he’s got a thigh strain,” said manager Mick McCarthy, whose squad are training this afternoon.

“He’s been for a scan today, we’ll see the results tomorrow, I think, or later today. Jonas is training today, so hopefully he’s OK.

“There are one or two bumps and bruises and scrapes and little knocks and I think a few tired legs, but I think they’re OK, they’re fit.”

Regarding striker Joe Garner, who has had one or two knocks including a knee problem, McCarthy says he’ll continue to nurse him through until the international break rather than give him a complete rest during this week’s two games.

“No, because he wants to be in the firing line, he keeps reporting himself fit for duty,” he added. “The plan has been to take it right to the international break and that’s what we’ll do.”

Mustapha Carayol will again miss out with the groin problem he picked up at Sheffield Wednesday, whilte Tom Adeyemi is still out with his hamstring injury.

Emyr Huws, Andre Dozzell (both knee), Teddy Bishop (hamstring), Dean Gerken (hip) and David McGoldrick (groin) are all out for the season.

If you’re looking to bet on Ipswich then the bookies have Hull slight favourites at 2.7 and the home team at 2.9.

If you haven't done so, don't forget to log your score and first Town scorer (if any) in our Prediction League competition. Entries will close at kick-off.

Not good news if Mick plays him in the left back position with a back 4...he's clearly better as a left sided CB.

Law of averages suggests we will score tomorrow and win. Hull are poor.

I would suggest that Knudsen waits his chance as yet again Myles had another very accomplished display on Saturday.
I think it sends the wrong message that no matter how good you play, you will be dropped for the next game
