QPR, Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers are among the clubs reported to be keen to sign departing Blues striker David McGoldrick this summer.

According to The Sun, the trio are set to offer terms to the out-of-contract 30-year-old Irish international, who TWTD revealed on Tuesday is leaving Portman Road, with a further two unnamed sides also interested.

McGoldrick turned down a £500,000 deadline day move to Bolton, while Cardiff, who subsequently won promotion to the Premier League, were also among those to show interest in January, along with Aston Villa.

lightingblue added 17:35 - May 11 Hopefully mcgoldrick find a club pretty swiftly. This will also go for the likes of hyam. Despite there in injury records, they never really caused the club any real problems. Furthermore it's never nice to see people out of work.

OwainG1992 added 20:02 - May 11 QPR Bolton Blackburn...lets be honest not exactly top sides really. Shows his standard of steady championship striker. Appreciate what he's done here and wish he didn't have the injuries he's had but he isn't the Same player now as a few years ago.

black_shuck added 07:17 - May 12 Packed up early this season. Was he even injured? Was he preparing for his next move? did he down tools? Seemed to put himself and international duty before ITFC. Seemed he decided if he could be bothered to play. And what did he achieve in 5 years at ITFC? Can you remember any important goals or turning a game. No ? I can't either. These clubs are welcome to him.

parkinshair added 09:27 - May 12 Personally glad to see the back of him. Without doubt the most overrated player that's been on our books in recent times. Constantly on the treatment table, aimlessly wanders around the pitch during the warm ups, and for a striker scores nowhere near enough goals. He isn't a patch on our previous frontmen Stead, Lee, Walters, even Scotland.

heathen66 added 10:29 - May 12 I actually think McGoldrick could be a real gem of a signing and am still disappointed we have made him surplus to requirements. Played in the right position and trained correctly not run into the ground (look at Steven Taylor) could be very effective in the Championship, just a shame it is not with us. Will cost more than £500k to replace him
