New manager Paul Hurst’s first Blues press conference will be shown live on TWTV from Portman Road at 11.30am on Tuesday morning.

Since being appointed Town’s boss a fortnight ago, Hurst, 43, has been away on holiday in Dubai and is spending this week completing an LMA (League Managers Association) Football Diploma in London.

The former Shrewsbury boss officially takes charge at Portman Road next Monday with the players back for pre-season on the Friday of the same week.

I personally feel his appointment is a bit of a coup for us and I'm very happy with it. I would have also taken Ross, Mowbray, Burley, Gerrard, Steijn. But wouldn't be confident they will do any better than Hurst will. I'm glad to see the back of MM and the start of a new era.

blueboy1981 added 15:09 - Jun 12 ...... let's all have 'hissy fits' and be 'excited' shall we ? - because we have a new Manager (hasn't even started yet ... !! ) Surely I'm not the only one concerned that the season is fast approaching ? - or are we too 'excited' to be bothered about such an important thing ? Maybe 'excitement' is far more important.
