Town skipper Matt Holland hopes Spain underestimate his Irish side when they meet them in Sujon on Sunday. Holland points to the number of 'big' sides who have lost out to relative footballing minnows in this World Cup after appearing not to take their opposition seriously.

Holland told his website (http://www.matthollandweb.com): "A lot of big name countries were favourites and are now at home wondering where it all went wrong.

"Underestimating teams like Ireland, Senegal and Mexico for starters, and that is what we want the Spanish to do to us - underestimate."

He says the Irish are in typical mood ahead of their second round game: "We are our usual confident, purposeful selves, but I realise that Spain possess some excellent talent.

"Raul is a marvellous player,as is Mendieta. They have to beat us though, and that is something few sides have found easy."

If Ireland beat Spain they will meet the winners of South Korea against Italy.
