Town will learn their UEFA Cup qualifying round opponents on Friday morning at 11am. The draw in Geneva will reveal who Town will face in the Thursday, August 15th and Thursday, August 29th games. Town qualified for the UEFA Cup through the Fair Play League.

The Blues are seeded in the draw (as they would be in the first round should they progress) and thus will not meet any of the better known sides also in the qualifying round.

UEFA's team rankings rate Town as the best side in the qualifying round ahead of Israelis Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Danes FC Cobenhagen and Swiss side Servette. All three of those are also seeded.

The teams Town could face come from the less lauded leagues of European football including Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales. Hermann Hreidarsson will also be particularly looking out for the name of IBV Vestmannaeyjar, his local club and where he started his career.

Full list of unseeded sides, highest UEFA-rated sides towards top: AEL Limassol (Cyprus), Metalurgs Liepaja (Latvia), MyPa-47 (Finland), FK Ventspils (Latvia), Zimbru Chisinau (Moldova), Lokomotivi Tbilisi (Georgia), Nistru Otachi (Moldova), Fylkir Reykjavik (Iceland), IBV Vestmannaeyjar (Iceland), Birkirkara (Malta), Dinamo Minsk (Belarus), FC Gomel (Belarus), Atlantas Klaipeda (Lithuania), Suduva Marijampole (Lithuania), Dundalk (Ireland), Shamrock Rovers (Ireland), Pobeda Prilep (Macedonia), Belasica Strumica (Macedonia), Sliema Wanderers (Malta), Bangor City (Wales), Llansantffraid (Wales), Tallina VMK (Estonia), Levadia Tallinn (Estonia), Zvartnots Yerevan (Armenia), Spartak Yerevan (Armenia), FK Sarajevo (Bosnia), Siroki Brijeg (Bosnia), Linfield (Northern Ireland), Glentoran (Northern Ireland), Neftchi Baku (Azerbaijan), Garabag Agdam (Azerbaijan), KI Klaksvik (Faroes), GI Gotu (Faroes), SK Tirana (Albania), Partizani Tirana (Albania), FC Vaduz (Liechtenstein), Avenir Beggen (Luxembourg), CS Grevenmacher (Luxembourg), SP Domagnano (San Marino), FC Encamp (Andorra).
