Saturday, 4th Aug 2018 14:47

Town targets Jon Nolan, Toto Nsiala and Curtis Tilt have all been left out of their respective clubs’ squads for their opening matches of the season.

Nolan and Nsiala are absent from the Shrewsbury 18 for their game at home to Bradford, while Tilt is not included by Blackpool for their match at Wycombe Wanderers.

Accrington do include striker Kayden Jackson in the team taking on Gillingham at home.

If we lose Waghorn but end up with all four of them (a big if!) that will be a really good piece of business

There is a big difference between a League 1 or 2 striker and a quality championship striker in terms of quality of finishing. Lots don't make the step up to the Championship. hence why waghorn is worth so much more. Accrington trying to get the money for Jackson as though he is already proven, before he has even played in League 1.
