Loan Target Bogle Set to Join Birmingham
Monday, 6th Aug 2018 11:16

Blues target Omar Bogle looks set to join Birmingham City on loan from Cardiff.

Town were eyeing a move for the 25-year-old, who played for Paul Hurst at Grimsby, in the wake of Accrington Stanley slapping a £2.5 million price tag on Kayden Jackson’s head.

Now, Birmingham Live is reporting that Birmingham are closing in on a deal to loan Bogle, who is from nearby Sandwell and with previously with the club as a youngster.

The Blues are understood to have continued negotiations with Accrington regarding Jackson but if they’re unable to come to an agreement with the League One club will have to look elsewhere for a striker to replace the imminently departing Martyn Waghorn, who is set to complete his £5 million rising to £7.5 million move to Derby today.

Please, please not Nugent, over the hill journeyman, maybe three seasons ago yes, but now way passed his best.

Nugent would probably only score own goals if he came to us 😂

Birmingham are allowed to sign for players and there are good players in the lower leagues we just need to have a bit of luck getting the right ones

Tommytractorboy. Perhaps the fact that he's from Sandwell (look it up) and was at Birmingham may have something to do with it. Now back under your Norwich duvet like a good little boy.

Very happy with this, couldn't cut it at Peterborough on loan and was sent home in March back to Cardiff.

Big unit more suited to MM.

Not at all worried if we "miss out" on Bogle. I hope he was just a distraction in the continued negotiations for our real targets.

Good this might force ITFC to actually buy a striker rather than borrow (at cost)!

Nugent at 33 is hardly in the new mindset surrounding the club also Bogle is not for me someone who would be a good addition, I agree about Bradshaw who as stated did well in a struggling side I know this would seem unpopular but Chris Martin would hold up play and feed Harrison and bang in a few himself? just a thought

@dugoutdave arrr okay so if a player started out for a team that automatically means the player will sign for them. Cant wait to hear the news we have re-signed connor wickham.

Great logic there, think your the one that needs to get back under your duvet or get back to playing fifa

let's stop f@ckin about and pay the money for Jackson. The way fees are going £2.5m for a league one striker is about right

Thank goodness. Bogle isn't that good, nor should we replace a key squad player with a short term solution in the form of a loan.

Tractorboytommy. Somehow I knew that was a too bigger concept for you to understand.

@dugoutdave so please enlighten me Dave as your first post clearly seems to suggest because he was a local lad to Birmingham and played for them in the youth team he chose to sign for them over us for that reason alone.... I can wait for you to finish your game on FIFA before you reply

A strike force of Harrison, Garner, Sears and Bradshaw would be respectable supplemented by goals from midfielders and occasionally defenders. Team looking more positive this season already
