Winger Graham Rejoins Town on Loan
Tuesday, 28th Aug 2018 14:32

Town have announced the season-long loan signing of Jordan Graham from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Graham was previously briefly on loan with the Blues in the 2013/14 campaign.

Reports in the Midlands linked Town with a move for the winger earlier this month after a switch to Wigan broke down.

“I enjoyed being here before but I was very young and it was a big step up from academy football to playing in the first team,” Graham told the club site.

""“I’m bigger and stronger now and feel like I’m in good physical condition. I’m ready for the challenge here.""

“When I got the go-ahead to say the deal was done I couldn’t get down here quick enough.

“I know Chambo and Skusey from my time here before and I know a lot of the other lads as well. That always helps to settle in.""

“It’s a big year for me and I’m here to make my mark. I want to score goals, I want to get as many assists as I can and I want to play my part in helping the team finish as high up the table as possible.""

“I’m buzzing to be part of it here and it’s a great game to start with, the derby on Sunday.

""“I got to know about the rivalry when I was here first time and how important the game is to the supporters.

"Ever since then I have watched the fixture on TV because it’s normally on live. Now I’m looking forward to be part of it.”

The former England U16 and U17 international, who represented the Republic of Ireland at U15 level, has been among a number of players not training with the Wolves first team squad recently, along with Dominic Iorfa, who was on loan at Town last season.

Graham, 23, spent a short spell on loan with the Blues from Aston Villa in late 2013 when he made two substitute appearances.

Following his short stint with the Blues Graham, who will wear the Town number 14 shirt during his second spell, moved on to Bradford on loan without making an appearance and then Wolves, who he joined on a permanent basis in 2014.

During what's been an injury-hit spell at Molineux he spent time on loan at Oxford and moved to Fulham on loan for the whole of 2017/18 but made only three sub appearances for their senior side.

In total since his spell with Town, Graham has made only 18 first team starts and eight sub appearances.

Despite Graham's lack of games, Wolves took up an option to extend his contract to the summer of 2020 in May, largely so as not to miss out on a potential fee if and when he is sold.

I called PH an eejit in a much earlier post at beginning of the season but i thought if "cat" could be optimistic then so would i. So i have tried to stay positive but then this signing occurred.

I am sorry Cat, but i am really losing it with PH for following:

1. We loan one of our own who played as many games last year as this chap has done in 5 seasons. Might be different positions but why sign a sicknote.

2. Tilt - we quibbled over a £150,000 and now we have to use one of our loans to get this chap in. Ridiculous. The money was available yet PH and the rest of the club stalled.

3. Why oh why were we not in for Wells or Hemed??. We passed them by to get this chap. Beggars belief.

4. No youngsters being played - don't need to say more.

5. No players on the posts at corners leaving goalie over exposed. Even Man Utd made this cardinal decision last night and spurs struck immediately.

6. 11 shots and 1 cross on target so far in 5 games. Yes the football might be at ground level but seriously pass the ball forward.

There is more but now going to watch Oshilaja for wimbledon as i suspect we will be linked after.

Oyston out!!!!!!!!!.

This lad has come on a lot since he was last here, yes it sounds a risk from an injury perspective and I can understand the questions being raised - I still find it difficult to believe Emyr or Teddy will reach the required level of fitness for at least another two months!!! But if this lad is fit and ready to go then I will welcome him with open arms - gives some strong competition on the wings and whilst I like glimpses of Grant Ward I think this lad will do a better job.

All we need now is tonight's rumour about Cameron Jerome being our latest target to come to fruition and that would be an excellent signing for us despite the likelihood of attracting a lot of Neanderthal comments on here about him being a recent ex-budgie, I personally couldn't give a flying one if he fits the bill.

Whats wrong with playing Roberts on the left side? He looked decent against Derby. Yet another Town player pushed to one side to allow an injury hit loanee to take a place in our 1st team :( It really is simple, Edwards, Downes, Bishop, Nydam, Huws, Dozzell, Skuse, Nolan, Roberts. We have this much option in the midfield and he goes and signs an injury hit player to replace Roberts....we might as well get the discontented McGoaldrick back here :( #sadtimes.

There are two other members on here who have posted comments I deem to be very truthful even if I have never seen Jordan play a competitive match....they are;- itfc94 and Blueberry27, who both have recieved a lot of thumbs up for their comments....I'm not yet convinced but it does look like PH has signed an injury hit player as his playing record for the last 4 seasons doesn't really exist. I'm disappointed that PH has signed another winger from the two hes already got which, smacks a bit of desperation. If I could talk with him right now I would plead with him to play Downes and Roberts ahead of Nolan against the Narwich and get Rowe involved at some stage. It would put a smile on many town fan's faces, I know it would mine! Plus the addition of Tilt would really lift spirits defensively because he looks a snip at £1Million in my opinion. Roll on Sunday :)

Shame you have lost the faith Dog, but in the month of August I simply cannot be that way, you make some valid points though.

Notice hes not holding a shirt up with his name on it perhaps they dont want to waste the money putting his name on it in case hes not fit enough to play.
Just an observation of course.

It seems that if a player is interested in coming to the Club - the policy is get him in - whilst key positions remain unfilled, and youngsters of our own scheduled to go out on loan.

Yes - I am concerned. Current events don't exactly fill me with confidence unfortunately.
