Arsenal and Spurs Linked With Renewed Dozzell Interest
Sunday, 7th Oct 2018 10:34

Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly set to rekindle their interest in Blues midfielder Andre Dozzell now he has returned from his long spell on the sidelines with injury.

According to a somewhat speculative piece in the Sunday Mirror the North London clubs were both keen on the 19-year-old prior to his cruciate knee ligament injury and are “ready to revive” their interest now he is back in first-team action.

The former Copleston High School pupil played 14 minutes as a sub in Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough before making his first start since the opening day of last season in yesterday's 3-2 victory at Swansea.

Dozzell is set to train with the England U20s during the international break but along with Town team-mate Flynn Downes will not play in their friendlies against Italy and the Czech Republic, while Blues loanee Trevoh Chalobah is a full member of the party.

Jason will have a big say on this one, but having said that, Andre will be in and around players of his age at the England squad who are already at these big clubs. He will find out how much they are being paid, how well they are treated and facilities at their disposal.

If he wants some of that too he will be off and there is no-one on this site how would do the same if they were given the chance.

We cannot risk Andre becoming Bishop mk2

A big offer, he will go. We have little leverage.
