Butcher in Town Team for Pride of Anglia Quiz
Monday, 8th Oct 2018 11:44

An East Anglian derby with a difference is taking place at Carrow Road on Thursday 25th October when teams representing the Blues, featuring Terry Butcher, and Norwich City, including Grant Holt, will face one another in the Pride of Anglia All-Star Quiz.

In addition to Town legend Butcher, who made his debut as a regular on BBC Radio Suffolk's Life's a Pitch on Saturday, Stuart Jarrold, currently working for Sky Sports and previously with Anglia TV, and journalist and former Blues public relations officer Mel Henderson will be representing Town.

For the Canaries, Holt will be joined by Radio Norfolk pundits Chris Goreham and Rob Butler. Another former Norwich player, Darren Eadie, will host.

The evening is being organised by the independent Norwich City Fans Social Club with the questions written by their quizmaster.

There will also be a question and answer session with the guests, while there will be some audience participation games, a bar and a raffle supporting the Community Sports Foundation.

Doors to the Top of the Terrace bar are open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, although it is advised to arrive early, £3 for adults and £1 for children.

Cor blimey, an East Anglian lovein. Does this mean no allocated seating for away supporters at next derby game?

Hosted in Norwich, questions written by Norwich supporters and with a former Norwich player as quizmaster. Sounds fair.

Good to see it's not a midday start though.

No matter what people say or what their 'jokes' are about this is an event to raise money for the CSF charity which helps disabled and disadvantaged children and young adults through sport. I know the person who runs this club, I've known her for years and she's been a good friend of mine. She and other volunteers do all these events in their own time. I know some Town fans are going to this as are 2-3 representatives from their club and I'm sure they will get a big welcome. I regret myself that I won't be able to attend this as I live North West. Going to be a good, interesting evening and this is being organised for the worthy reasons.
