West Brom Match Moves for Sky
Wednesday, 10th Oct 2018 15:18

Town’s home game against West Brom has moved forward a day to Friday 23rd November for live Sky TV coverage (KO 7.45pm). The match had originally been set for the following afternoon.

West Brom, who were most recently at Portman Road in December 2010 when they were beaten 1-0 in a Carling Cup quarter-final, are currently second in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League in May.

Meanwhile, former Blues right-back Fabian Wilnis, 48, has been appointed the head U19s coach at Dutch club VV Nieuwerkerk.

Typical, if you are winning you are owned by Sky, if you are losing / expect a big scoreline against, you're owned by Sky. Mid-table's where it's at.

3pm KO should be a law.

FFS. Not good at all if you're traveling any distance... especially if it involves the A14 north of Cambridge.

Suits me, as I can now go to it - I was going to have to miss it if it had stayed on the Saturday.
At least that means one person is pleased!

Feel for the Blue Monday chaps - their big event is scheduled for the Saturday in order to commence upon the completion of the WBA game. Hope those who've already bought tickets for that can still make it.

How much does Sky pay in terms of seat losses. Also does the club get anything when on red button?
After last Tuesday's A12 closures I doubt I'll be attending any more home games in the evenings!

Club won't care the TV money will likely be more that those who don't turn up would have paid.

Sky are sh1tting all over the Football League with this red button nonsense and no one has got the balls to stand up to them.

I long for the days when TV stops running and ruining our game. Sky are gready and arrogant and have no interest in football, only the money.
Sadly the world we now live in.
PS I am very much old school and enjoy the 3pm Saturday kick-off's.
PPS very sorry dirtydingusmagee, I agreed with your comments but hit the down arrow by mistake.

Amongst many other factors a further reason not to renew my season ticket next year.

I can't make the game now. Another reason why having a season ticket is not always a good thing. Shame. Picking my games is moving nearer.

Furious about this. Cannot go now. That makes it just ONE Saturday in November we are getting a 3pm Saturday match. Getting utterly fed up of Sky Sports and how they dictate things. Friday night is a stupid time to have a match - why aren't the fans considered? People working who now have to book time off, and I include the travelling fans too.

Such bad news messes up the Blue Monday open day and they will surely have to rearrange it.
