Updated: Lambert Pays Respects at Leicester Monday, 29th Oct 2018 12:03 New Blues boss Paul Lambert has visited the King Power Stadium to pay his respects to the five people killed in Saturday’s helicopter crash, who included Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. Srivaddhanaprabha, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, who were members of his staff, pilot Eric Swaffer and his partner Izabela Roza Lechowicz all died in the crash which followed the Foxes’ 1-1 draw with West Ham. Since Sunday morning fans have been laying flowers and tributes at the stadium. “First and foremost it’s tragic, a real, real shock,"Lambert told Sky Sports. "I live not too far from here myself. "I think what has happened here has been incredible, the running of the club and what’s happened with winning the league.
“But I think everybody knows, when you lose lives, football is nothing. This is a major, major shock to the people of Leicester as well.” Asked about Srivaddhanaprabha's legacy, he added: “As I say, I’ve stayed up here for the last few years and this football club grew, the city grew and I think when Leicester won the title it became a worldwide known football club. It was all down himself and everybody worked here. I just can’t believe it, it’s a shock, it really is.”
