Tuesday, 30th Oct 2018 14:08

New boss Paul Lambert met the media at Playford Road this morning and TWTD's photographer and cameraman were there.

The new Blues manager and his staff subsequently put the players through their paces on the training ground.

Bald chap look frightening. This management team look genuine though.

Bald chap looks like he's related to Pierluigi Collina.

Who are these people and what is Teddy Bishop doing in training gear ! TWTD will dig out an archive picture of Emyr Highes playing for the U23s next ! lol

Seriously though, wouldn't it give the whole squad a lift to get just Teddy back in and around the squad......that and a new management team i don't recognise of course.

Am I alone in wondering if we care more about Lambert's Norwich background than Norwich fans care about him coming to Ipswich? They seem to have their team to entertain them these days!

I'm personally very pleased with this appointment. I didn't want McCarthy to be sacked but equally I didn't want him to be offered a new contract. His time here had run its course. Now, had Lambert been appointed as McCarthy's successor, I'd have been underwhelmed. However, with the benefit of Hurt's time at the club to look back on, this is potentially a great appointment so perhaps it did us all a little bit of a favour.

We might still go down, it wouldn't surprise me either way, but if we do, I'm a lot more confident about coming back up than I would have been under Hurst.

A couple of observations.

"Keep it simple and do it early" - shades of Town under Burley and Magilton
"Do not argue or you will be punished" - show them who is boss

That's not a glowing reference. To me looks like large improvements needed

Dam I the only one concerned at how quiet the players are? I remember BFJ coming in and saying that the squad was too quiet and didn't seem to be enjoying their work. Similar here?

We've lacked communication, looks like we are gaining communication from the video.
