Judge Deal Reportedly Close
Sunday, 13th Jan 2019 18:58

Town are reportedly close to agreeing the deal which would see winger Alan Judge sign from Brentford.

According to West London Sport, the switch - which would be Town’s sixth addition of the transfer window - is getting close to completion.

The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international is out of contract at Griffin Park at the end of the season and is available for a cut-price fee.

Judge suffered a broken leg at Portman Road in April 2016, an injury which kept him out of first-team action until January 2018.

This season, the former Blackburn, Plymouth (loan) and Notts County man has made only seven starts and 17 sub appearances for the Bees, scoring twice.

Dubliner Judge previously came close to joining the Blues from the Magpies in the summer of 2013, however, he instead returned to Blackburn, where he had previously been a youth player, for a second spell.

From what I've seen on YouTube he likes to cut in from the left onto his stronger right foot. Could be excellent competition for Freddie

GOOD news this guy coming here. Now i would like to see a hard man to boss the midfield+prevent us getting bullied around like we did by Rotherham the other day. Think skuse but a foot taller and 3 stone heavier .... ? Ditto the same for a new RB.

Would be interesting to see if Jonas goes the other way what with the Danish connection at Brentford.

Cowboy...could see Jonas leave in the opposite direction, I have never really rated him ( Knudsen) don't think we miss him one little bit. Although never done us any good, you can see his long throw working against us if we ever play against him.

Would really love to see Judge come, it seems Brentford moved forward without him when he got injured, would come with a point to prove!

If Judge signs up all we need is Alan Hunter and we will be safe ! We should have had him cloned .

Brilliant addition if we can sign him, especially with the experience he will bring. Our wage bill must be eye wateringly huge now. Surely some fringe squad members will be sold, no doubt at a loss though.

Midas - I agree Brentford normally are pretty shrewd - but they also seem to be a selling club and with his contract up in 6 months and him not getting much game time and he's probably on a decent wage by their standards, might be shrewd of them to take £500k for him now rather than lose him for nothing. It might allow them to hold on to some of their current bigger draw players if they get that bit of cash in.

It would be poetic justice for him to come here , hopefully reignite his career at the place he was so horribly injured by Hyam

Hope we get this done, bit of steel in the middle of the pitch
