McCarthy Impressed By Blues Pair
Saturday, 16th Feb 2019 21:14

Former Blues boss Mick McCarthy was impressed by Town pair Will Keane and Alan Judge having watched them in his capacity as new Republic of Ireland manager during this afternoon’s 1-1 draw with Stoke, after also returning to Portman Road for Wednesday’s game with Derby which ended in the same scoreline.

Keane, 26, is currently in the process of completing the paperwork in order to be eligible for Ireland, where his father was born, having previously played youth football for England, while Judge, 30, has won five caps, scoring once.

“Will [Keane] took his goal well at a time when Ipswich really needed it so his timing was good all round today,” McCarthy told the FAI’s website.

“I was impressed again with Alan Judge as well. Alan was very unfortunate with the injury he picked up when playing at Ipswich with Brentford and I am delighted to see him back to his best.

“The fact that James McClean scored the opening goal of the game for Stoke was a bonus as well.”

It was time for McCarthy to go. However some "fans" are unbelievable and a disgrace to our club. McCarthy gave his all for this club, did it well (at least the first two-three years) and deserve some respect for it.

....... BlueySwede - it certainly was time for MM to go, make no mistake about that.
In terms of 'giving his all' for our Club, maybe you need reminding that he was paid 'extremely well' for what he did for our Club - and that included having NO respect for, and alienating, many fans whilst with us - not to mention boring many of us to snooze during matches. However, as I have mentioned many times before, some will forever be satisfied, just so long as a ball is kicked at Portman Road.

Some will never forgive him for his name calling, and lack of respect for fans - rightly so too.

....... a man with lack of respect for anyone other than himself, and his 'favourites,' however they performed.
