Blues Closing in On Judge Deal
Sunday, 31st Mar 2019 20:02

Town are closing in on agreeing a new contract with midfielder Alan Judge.

The Sun reported earlier today that Town are close to securing Judge on the two-year contract previously reported by TWTD and we understand that the deal is indeed near to being concluded.

The 30-year-old signed a short-term contract until the summer in January when he joined on a nominal fee from Brentford with the club having an option for a further season.

Irish international Judge has become the Blues’ most influential player since joining the club with talks regarding an extension to his time at Portman Road having been ongoing for a number of weeks.

Sorry NSV, By one of the better I mean, doesn't appear to have your head in the sand, like so many on here.
You seem to tell it how it is, where so many post for up votes, rather than post how they really feel. And like myself you've been a town fan for donkeys years. So you see first hand how bad things really are.

Don't mean to change the subject onto Dozzell as well but he did little on Saturday and did even less against Bristol the other week...I'll give him a break as he's young and not had a big string of games but he needs to 'up things a bit'. We've seen potential from a youngsters come and go over the last few seasons.

Be surprised if he signed without being confident paul lambert was going to be here. He has always said how much he enjoys the freedom PL gives him.

Dozzell fans - he has to step up, and front up post haste. As yet to happen - when will it .... ??

Another who thinks he's arrived before he gets there - currently.

......... all too easy for some these days - Superstar status in the mind, before they even deserve, or prove, to be a Star.

Harsh - No. Fair comment - YES.

No Dolphinblue, moan for the state of my club. You would rather post your fantasy world stuff.
Maybe you spend to much time on Fifa19. I prefer real world stuff.

We await him to sign on the dotted line dolphinblue......is Evans prepared to make Judge one of, if not the highest paid player in L1? Because that's what it will take.

With clubs like Derby, Boro, Forest etc etc etc, who would take Judge in a heartbeat, and pay him 20k per week, we await Evans intentions regarding a serious promotion push next season.

Itfc1973. Chill. I respect yr views and yr right to air them but we are all fans and we can come back from this. Norwich, Man city have been in league one and come back. We can do it, lets stick together, support the club. Coyb! If we sign Judge he will be a beast in league one!

Norwich, Man City, Sunderland this season had and have playing budgets to rival the biggest spenders in the Chamionship. Two of the three have played in L1 on premiership parachute payments.
We have a bloke called Marcus Evans who will be setting our playing budget. He has been bankrolling us with a reported £6m annual cash injection. That now sails into double figures with relegation. These abnormal losses and cost to him, is just to keep the club operating on a week by week basis. There's a handful of teams in L1 this season alone with a better budget than we've had in the championship and that's Not including Sunderland. Luton Town laughed off bids of tens of millions last summer for there best players. Now walking league 1, on the strength of that.
We may well be one of the biggest clubs next season in L1, but that alone guarantees nothing.
