The Ipswich Fanzone vlog has been nominated in the Best New Content Creator section at the Football Blogging Awards 2019.

Ashley Symonds, 27, started the channel in August last year and it currently has 70,000 views on YouTube.

He interviews fans following games both home and away, as well as Blues legends such as John Wark and Paul Mariner.

"Absolutely over the moon, in some senses speechless - I can't believe that the channel has not only been voted for, but selected to be a finalist,” Symonds told TWTD.

“I want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this stage, especially the fans of our wonderful club, not only do they make this channel tick but contribute in ways that are absolutely priceless.

“There is a lot more work to do, but it's all about raising awareness of our club. The channel needs your help to win this, so please vote!"

The Football Blogging Awards, now in its eighth year, was created to recognise and award the best football bloggers, vloggers and influencers around the world.

With two awards in each category — a fans’ vote and a judges’ vote — Town supporters can help Ashley to pick up a gong at the awards ceremony, which will be held at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday 9th May.
