Judge in Ireland Squad for Training Camp

Town midfielder Alan Judge has been named in a Republic of Ireland squad travelling to Portugal for a training camp later this month.

The week-long get-together at the Quinta Do Lago complex in the Algarve, which starts on May 21st, is ahead of Euro 2020 qualifiers against Denmark, in Copenhagen on Friday 7th June, and Gibraltar, in Dublin three days later. A final squad will be confirmed ahead of those games.

Former Blues striker David McGoldrick and ex-Town midfielder Conor Hourihane are also in Mick McCarthy’s squad.

Town director of football Dave Bowman now works part-time as a member of McCarthy’s Ireland staff, while Andy Liddell, who left his role as Town’s fitness coach last summer, is also part of the former Blues boss’s backroom team.

Hopefully he will stay fit and perform well in League One.
