Air Ambulance Name on Kids' Kits
Thursday, 23rd May 2019 10:02

Town’s junior kits during 2019/20 will bear the name of charity partner East Anglian Air Ambulance across the front, the club has confirmed.

Main sponsors Magical Vegas, in the second full year of their three-and-a-half-year deal, have agreed to cover the costs to facilitate the charity’s name appearing on the kits with EFL rules preventing gambling companies from featuring on junior shirts. Last season the name of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) appeared on youngsters' replica shirts.

Yesterday, Town announced that the East Anglian Air Ambulance’s name would appear on the back of first-team shirts during the season ahead.

“It’s great exposure for the East Anglian Air Ambulance to have our name on the back of the Ipswich Town first-team shirts for next season and also on the front of the junior shirts and we’d like to thank Magical Vegas for their kind gesture,” said EAAA chief executive Patrick Peal.

Konstantinos Veletas, spokesperson for the Stride Gaming group, added: “We were more than happy to cover the costs to see the name of such a fantastic charity in the East Anglian Air Ambulance recognised on the front of Ipswich Town’s junior shirts.”

Brilliant, that's answered my question about this from earlier over on the other new kit story page. Cheers.

I'm glad they're doing this, but just how massive does the logo look on there? It looks out of proportion to the shirt size and appears in an odd position so far down the shirt due to the size of the rotor blades motif.

Agreed Hoppy.

Whereas I much prefer the EAAA as a sponsor, I dare say that the Magical Vegas logo looks better on the adult shirt this year!

I used to love wearing the same shirt as the players as a child, unfortunately some will never get that for sake of a few extra quid.

Do kids shirts come in XXL?

Toperz added 15:36 - May 23
Can't believe they didn't give the kids the shirts, tight or what

They probably didn't want to keep them anyway.
