Town Reported to Have Rebuffed QPR Judge Bid

Town are reported to have turned down a QPR bid for midfielder Alan Judge.
According to The Sun on Sunday, the West Londoners have had a £250,000 offer for the 30-year-old, who played for Rangers manager Mark Warburton at Brentford, rebuffed by the Blues, who are said to be unwilling to lose someone who only signed in January.
Judge, pictured above arriving at Paderborn with his team-mates last Saturday, is claimed to be keen to stay in the Championship but with a deal appearing unlikely unless QPR up their offer, almost certainly very significantly.
Rangers have been linked with Judge for a number of weeks with the Republic of Ireland international viewed as a replacement for Luke Freeman, who recently joined Sheffield United.
Asked about QPR’s reported interest in Judge last week, manager Paul Lambert said he knew nothing of it.
“I don’t know anything about it,” he insisted. “I don’t listen to anything and don’t read anything so I don’t know anything about it.
"I don’t get involved in it unless someone phones us and gets in touch. There’s been nothing.”
Lambert added that Judge, who signed a new two-year deal with the Blues in April, is a player he doesn’t want to lose: “Not at all, we’re trying to build something here and build a good team and we have some fabulous footballers in the team, that’s for sure. Alan Judge is one of them.”

Absolute joke of a bid. £1mil at the very, very least. And even then I wouldn't want us to accept it.

Agreed Saigon, I wonder how many season tickets would be torn up if Town agree to anything like this. Having said that, its the sort of thing that Town have a habit of doing.

Can’t believe I am even reading this. Do one QPR.

Judge could still do a job in the Championship but if it’s true that he is keen to stay there he shouldn’t have signed for us. It was clear where we were going when he did.
Having said that Evans will cash in if he can!

£250k doesn’t even buy his little toe! Absolute joke of a offer, in today’s market he’s worth at least £3/4mil

GO AWAY ,he belongs here right now and I cannot believe it would be in any way the right thing to agree a transfer : to do so will be to jeopardise the structure of ITFC and our management team !

£250k?! Absolute joke of a bid. I wouldn’t even respond to them with an answer.

Not good. QPR are taking the piss with that offer but they will come back, I’m guessing £750k and Evans will 100% sell I’m afraid

Not sure he wants a similar season like ours last year but with QPR. They will be in league 1 next year

It costs nothing to bid, but it's an insulting figure.

Surprised Evans didn't take that to be honest going off previous form. 500k should do it. #allhailmrevans

Yeah Bluearmy_8, like that time he snapped Leicester's hand off when they came in with a big bid for Didsy! Oh...

This player is pivitol to our promotions chances, he must stay. We have been told that there is no money to bring in players which makes it vital we hold onto Judge. If he is sold it will not be reinvested in squad. Judge is our best player imo and £250,000 is quite frankly a joke offer...🐬

Hahaahahahahahaa joke, right? Nob off QPR. That's insulting

I'm not sure it's down to Evans accepting a bid particularly here. Judge signed a deal with us & is clearly happy to be an Ipswich player, even after dropping a division. However, he would of course prefer to play at a higher level, like nearly all players would, & he has no great attachment to us as a club, other than that we took a chance on him after a bad injury. Sometimes we assume than when a player signs he suddenly loves the club, or should love the club, as much as we do.
He knows the manager & that general area of London, so if he has a clause in his contract to leave in the event of X, I think he himself may well be the one to agree the move when QPR offer an appropriate fee.

Ok! But if the player wants to go it will be very difficult to keep him happy?
I for one am getting kinda tired of this ‘I know nothing’ response from PL. it is his job to know and his job to handle the matter!

Test the water bid from them if true..... well below expectation but also a demonstration of how tight QPR's coffers really are.
Judge says he wants to play..... we'll he'll play here

If it’s in the sun , it’s bound to be true. LOL.

Carberry added 12:04 - Jul 14

BlueandTruesince82 added 12:09 - Jul 14
Carberry, do you really belive that? Do you think he might be playing a straight bat?
ArnieM added 12:23 - Jul 14
That’s not a bid, that’s a joke and an insult. Tell em to EFF OFF, the to$$ars
Davin44 added 12:26 - Jul 14
they must think we are desperate. jog on Rangers

I’ll tell you one thing Evans needs to be aware of. If he accepts bids for our top players this season , I can easily see Lambert walking and I wouldn’t blame him. I would be one step behind him and that’s be my lot with Evans ITFC ( and I’ve been following Town over 50years)
