Bialkowski Thanks Town Fans
Tuesday, 30th Jul 2019 19:43

Departing keeper Bartosz Bialkowski has paid tribute to Town supporters, his season-long loan move to Millwall having been confirmed this afternoon.

Bialkowski, a popular figure during his five years with the Blues, winning the Player of the Year award on three occasions, posted a message to fans on social media.

The Poland international's time as a Town player might not be over for good, of course, with his Blues contract having another year - plus another season's option - after his 2019/20 campaign at the Den.

Am I reading too much into this, or does the above message have an air of finality about it? He is coming back, right?

A lot of time for Bart, I would think it is a genuine "I will miss you for the season" statement, rather than "I'm off forever". Of course if we don't got up, or if we do and Holy is a beast for us, I am tempted to agree this is the final goodbye for Bartman.

I hope he finds his best form that went missing after his summer in Russia last year.

Of course he's not coming back - that's why this is such a terrible deal. Yet again had our pants pulled down. They get a good keeper 'on loan' and we get a crocked defender if he's not too crocked come the endnof Septemebr.

Interesting how an injury problem with Bart derailed the transfer originally and now its alright if he's on loan.

Hard not to be frustrated with Evans over this as unless there is massively more than meets the eye to this, we have been shafted by our own owner.

I like the "Once a blue always a blue" comment. He gets it....

Hopefully he can regain his form over the next 12 months.

Fantastic player. But a rough season, Fulfilled his dads wish of playing for Poland, Malcom Webster retires, the guy who scouted and essentially brought him in. Then dropped hours before the Derby under the sh*test manger we ever had, then had to fight for no.1 with Gerken. I'm sorry, but anyones form would drop after that.

Am I being stupid here. We was was offered a reduced fee for bart but sure it was still 2 or 3 hundred k after his medical. We refuse that. 3 weeks letter give him away on loan for year

He has no intention of returning. Who can blame him? We start the season with no available Senior CBs. Remarkable.

“Once a blue always a blue” Ipswich to millwall no doubt! Good move for all parties, Bart needs to regain some much needed confidence, and a fresh start could sort that.
Got a good feeling regarding Holy, the way he collected that first cross on Saturday oozed confidence and his “one big Mother ****er”!

That was my mistake regarding a 'defender' - wishful thinking and anger at this and I got it wrong.

I don't blame Bart at all and I think his message is heartfelt, but I do not for one second think we'll be seeing him back in a town shirt at the end of 'the loan'.

Goes to Millwall, recovers form, loan made permanent for more money. Doesn't work out, he comes back. Thanks for the three excellent seasons of performances Bart! Good luck!

Based on last season's displays I think he'll have his work cut out at Millwal & vice versa.

For those expecting his glorious return someday I can't see that happening - Bart obvs doesn't want to play for us in league 1 & if we do get promoted with Holy in goal it would be very disrespectful to ditch our new number 1 for someone who couldn't wait to b#gger off to Millwall.

I'm glad we're both having a fresh start.

The d!ckhead who pushed in front of several families in the queue at open day thrust a glove in front of Bart and said “ only sign it if you're staying”.

Bart signed it.

Hahahahahaha FvCK YOU D!CKHEAD!!!!!!

(And all the best to BB)
