Vincent-Young Wins PFA Fans' Player of the Month Award
Thursday, 10th Oct 2019 11:59

Town right-back Kane Vincent-Young has been voted the PFA Fans’ League One Player of the Month award for September.

The 23-year-old, who joined Town from Colchester in August, enjoyed a superb month in which he scored his first two goals for the Blues. Also among those nominated was Town keeper Tomas Holy.

It’s the second time a Blues player has won the award this season with James Norwood carrying off the August gong.

Vincent-Young, who has also been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award, suffered a groin injury at the weekend at Fleetwood but on Tuesday assistant manager Stuart Taylor said he is expected back in training next week.

“He’s been in having his treatment and [physio] Matt Byard’s confident enough that he’ll be back not too far away," he said.

“We’ve got a break now with the four days with no game at the end of the week, so we’re looking for him to be back in for training next week.”

Perry Ng would have won it twice over!

Good work and thoroughly deserved for our most unexpected, and welcome, signing of the season!

Exactly nathitfc89 I just hope we can hang on to him for a bit before the big boys come knocking. They surely will as this boy has talent.

Congrats KVY. He's one of the big reasons for Town fans excitement this season. Love seeing all his tricks and he doesn't give the ball away. One for Kenlock to learn from.

Great signing - arguably seems to be the best right back we've had since Fabian Wilnis.
