Lambert Nominated For Manager of the Month
Wednesday, 7th Oct 2020 09:33

Town boss Paul Lambert has been nominated for the League One September Manager of the Month award.

The Blues claimed nine points from their first nine last month, winning each of their league games 2-0.

Lambert is up against Michael Appleton of Lincoln City, Hull City’s Grant McCann and Darren Moore from Doncaster.

The winner, which is selected by a judging panel, will be announced on Friday 9th October.

Lambert won Manager of the Month in August 2019 for the only time while at Town, having previously picked up the League One award once when Colchester boss and twice during his time at Norwich.

He also won the Championship award once while in charge of Wolves.

I don't think we have been over impressive. We have gone about it same as last season. Winning but not looking that great. I hope the wheels don't fall off again this season. The team as it is wouldn't stand a cat in hells chance in the Championship.

Apparently an away draw v MK Dons is ok for some players. If that's how it's looked upon. Then we have little ethics of real success. 3 wins from 3 is great but our squad has got to be more ruthless and self improving. Realise winning runs shouldn't be focused on. Just stay blinkered and keep it going :-)

Just being nominated is recognition of the great work he has done so far this season. He has his critics for sure and I don't always agree with all decisions he makes but I respect his decisions non the less as he is the boss.
The more I read about him the more impressed I am particularly with his man management. I think he has got that off to an art.
Hopefully we shall soon see the fortunes of our club change for the better and I believe Paul Lambert to be the right man for the job.
I will now sit back to dodge a few bullets from snipers!

Paul deserves to win this. He has built a good squad on little money. Winning against the gills fielding a reserve side has to be applauded but it might have cost him the award. Good luck Paul it should be yours on merit.
