Simulation Predicts Blues Will Return to the Big Time But Fans Will Have to Wait
Friday, 11th Dec 2020 10:02

Town fans have been starved of success but the Blues will eventually return to being one of English football’s powerhouses, according to a computer simulation, however they will have to wait a while yet.

In a video on the DoctorBenjy FM YouTube channel, another YouTuber, Nerdphonic, discusses having run a simulation of how the next 500 years of English football might progress on Football Manager 2021.

And it turns out that by the 26th century the Blues will be back to where they were in the glory days of Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson, carrying off the Premier League title for the sixth time in 2520 ahead of Colchester United in a top flight which also includes Chorley, Newport, Mansfield and Stevenage. TWTD is very much looking forward to it.

What this fails to mention is that the 'return to the big time' refers to our promotion back to league two after a three year sojourn in the national league, where we finished 10th in the first season, lost to Boreham Wood in the play off semi final in the second season and then in the third season beat Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 at Wembley in front of 17, 562. A good win against a Dagenham side captained by Flynn Downes!!

And using that very same formula its reckoned in the year 2043 we will all be Elvis impersonators!

And i have heard ducks fart before!

Oh and does it say where Norwich are? i need something else to cling to!

The simulation failed to say that by 2520 the Premier league will have broken away so many times over & over again to form ever higher super leagues, in relative terms we'll actually be 14 tiers down but its still named the "Premier league". Kind of like league one is actually three.

Marcus's great (x12) grandchild will be the owner.

Happy days.

Norwich win the Premier League in 2059/2060 and become a major force in the Premiership for the following 100 years? (Including a few 2nd and 3rd place finishes).

When will we win our next derby game?

Please don't say 500 years....

And they'll still be talking about Brexit. Paul Lambert will be signing another contract and we'll be ground sharing with Whitton Utd.

This is great news. There was me thinking we were a washed-up yesterday club. How deluded I am not that we have proof that this won't be the case.
