Cotter Returns From Chelmsford Loan
Friday, 8th Jan 2021 17:26

Right-back Barry Cotter has returned to Town at the end of his loan spell with Chelmsford City.

The Irishman made seven appearances during his second stint with the Vanarama National League South side having joined the Essex side in October.

The 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and with opportunities at Town unlikely seems set to be sent out for another spell during the second half of the campaign.

Maybe after Barry Cotter's loan spell he will bring a Harry Potter magic spell!

I'll get my coat.

Like many of our so called youngsters the jury is out on how good they may or may not be. At 22 Cotter should be making the grade. His occasional appearances have been ok.

I listened to commentary on Chelmsford's game last week. Commentators did not seem to rate him much. He got subbed at half time when 2 nil down and without him they won 4-2.

If Chambers, Donacien and Cotter all leave during the summer then we shall need a new right-back to cover for KV-Y.

Of course, we could just offer Donacien a new contract.

However, any new contract is likely to be awarded to Chambers.

Under a new manager i think Donacian would be ok certainly no worse than what we've already got in the first team. He was outstanding when on loan back at Accrington which proves he can play in Div one he's just fallen out with Lambert.
